The AU Energy Interactive was an exercise in presenting raw data through an interactive interface. The implementation also provided an opportunity to style and animate info graphics. The following video is a snapshot of AU Energy Interactive in use.
The AU Energy Interactive was designed to be featured on large touch screen monitors at conferences and energy summits, with the current version as a usable prototype. The design allows for comparative data viewing of energy projections and also provides a comprehensive glossary of the associated terminology. However the limitations of the data visualisations became apparent when the scale of the figures restricted onscreen visual changes.
