The Student Flights campaign crafted for the advertising capstone unit at QUT presented the Big Idea that travel is both a high involvement process and journey of self discovery, and isn’t a message that can be sold by competitive prices and deals alone.

The Big Idea  and premise for the campaign was synthesised into one simple message, To travel is to ‘Get Lost, be found’ .

The campaign consisted of five key deliverables which were an ambient installation, online app, subsidary website and print and online advertising. The full strategy can be viewed in the creative pitch document below.

Mockups created for the campaign paired the idea of getting lost within an ambiguous map or location and being found specifically within a niche area. The mockups drew on aspirational visuals depicting young travelers appearing to ‘be found’ in foreign locations. These mockups were specifically for print and online with other campaign deliverables available here.
